Florida’s Jonathan Bullard is the nation’s No. 1 run-stopper
Jonathan Bullard made a risky move shortly after Florida’s 2014 season ended. He came back to school even though he would have been a top draft pick.
That decision has paid off for Bullard.
The Gators defensive tackle is the nation’s best run-stopper, according to Pro Football Focus. On all running plays against Florida this season, Bullard is responsible for stopping 14.1 percent of them. Just how good is that? The average in all of the FBS is 5.5 percent. Bullard has nearly tripled that number.
I think it’s safe to say that his stock is through the roof right now, and it wouldn’t be surprising if he’s taken in the first round in the upcoming draft.
