Even the former Gators are getting in on the trash talk act this week.
After current Florida players took shots at Georgia’s struggles in Jacksonville as well as Bulldogs quarterback Jake Fromm earlier in the week, one former Gators defender is adding to the smack talk collection.
Brian Poole, who spent four years as a Gators defensive back before signing with the Atlanta Falcons as a free agent, was asked by an Atlanta Falcons Radio Network reporter for his pick for Saturday’s rivalry game. Here’s what he said:
Brian Poole (former Gator) on UGA vs UF Saturday: "You've been watching the game for the last 20 years. I don't have to make a prediction."

Bazinga! Poole makes his prediction without making a prediction, well played.
Although it must be noted that during his four years playing the annual game in Jacksonville from 2012-2015, Poole’s record against Georgia was 2-2. But over the 20-year period he mentioned, Florida leads the series 14-6.
Currently in Atlanta, Poole shares a secondary with fellow Florida product safety Keanu Neal, whom the Falcons selected in the first round of the draft the same year they signed Poole.
And on Sunday Night Football last weekend, as all the players introduced themselves and their colleges, Poole added, “DBU” after Florida.
The Gators and Bulldogs kick off at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday. The game will be on CBS.
