The Atlanta Falcons announced Tuesday that they have signed running back Kelvin Taylor, who played at Florida from 2013-15 and is the son of fomer NFL running back Fred Taylor.
Kelvin Taylor rushed for 2,108 yards and 23 touchdowns over his three seasons with the Gators. He was drafted by the San Francisco 49ers in the sixth round of the 2016 NFL Draft, but he didn’t appear in a game last season. San Francisco cut him in November. Both the Seattle Seahawks and Kansas City Chiefs signed, and then released, Taylor.
He is the sixth running back on the Falcons’ roster.
His father rushed for 11,695 yards and 66 touchdowns over his 13-year career with the Jacksonville Jaguars and New England Patriots. He also played at Florida before entering the NFL.
