Former Florida Gators star center Al Horford has spent his entire career to this point with the Atlanta Hawks. But he’s making a change, and it looks like he’ll making bank, too.
Horford tweeted “Celtic Pride!!!!!!” on Saturday, an apparent confirmation of a report by Yahoo Sports’ Adrian Wojnarowski that said Horford will sign with the Boston Celtics on a four-year, $113 million deal.
Per Wojnarowski, the Hawks made a significant push to retain Horford, who averaged 15.2 points and 7.3 rebounds per game this past season, but they were simply outbid.
Sources: Tremendous momentum for Hawks in final hours, w/ Horford returning and giving Hawks chance. In end, Hawks, Horford $6M total apart.

Horford joins a Celtics organization that won 48 games last season, equaling the win total the Hawks posted. Horford won two national titles in 2006 and 2007 with the Gators under former coach Billy Donovan.
