During these slow days of the college football season, many Web sites are trying to create content someway somehow to keep eyeballs until actual news take place. It being college football, inevitably it becomes more about the rivals.
And the Florida State Rivals site, WarChant.com, took that to the next level setting up a tournament of the team’s most hated players and personalities. Unsurprisingly it is heavily populated by Florida Gators.
Today’s matchup of most hated players? Tim Tebow vs. Dante Fowler.
And it being college football, the parties involved got wind of it and got into the fun, albeit reluctantly.
Dante Fowler is beating Tim Tebow for the semifinal of the player division in this most hated tournament and Fowler seemed none too pleased about it.

Yes, Dante, that is what college football fans do. It is often more about the other team than it is about your team.
And this bracket shows just how much Florida State fans dislike the Florida Gators.
Of the “Sour 16,” seven are directly related to Florida, including the final four in the Players Region. Dante Fowler and Tim Tebow make up one matchup while Doug Johnson and the Pouncey twins make up the other. Johnson even upset Michael Irvin, who had some very unchoice words for Florida State during the team’s battles with Miami in the 1980s.
Urban Meyer and Steve Spurrier were the top two seeds in the coaches region and Florida fans are making their way through the miscellaneous region.
These polls do tend to skew young, so it is also no surprise to see a lot of the Urban Meyer-era players winning and succeeding. Although it is odd to see Dante Fowler defeating Tim Tebow. Tebow garners a lot of hate.
Clearly though, Fowler just wants everyone to get along better.
