Four members of Florida’s fantastic defense earned All-SEC honors, the league announced Tuesday.
Defensive lineman Jonathan Bullard and defensive backs Vernon Hargreaves III and Jalen Tabor were named to the All-SEC First Team. Linebacker Antonio Morrison was named to the Second Team.
Bullard is third in the league in tackles for loss with 17.5. Morrison is ninth in tackles with 97, including 12 for a loss. Tabor leads the SEC with 18 passes defended, while he and Hargreaves both tied for fourth with four interceptions.
The quartet was a huge reason why Florida won the SEC East and is 10-3 heading into the Capitol One Bowl with Michigan. The Gators are in the top 10 in the country in both scoring defense and total defense.
Florida punter Johnny Townsend also earned second-team All-SEC honors. He finished second in the SEC with an average of 44.92 yards per punt.
