GAINESVILLE, Fla. — Florida won’t need to search for a new coordinator this offseason.
Gators offensive coordinator Doug Nussmeier, a top candidate for the head coaching job at Southern Miss, is staying at UF, SEC Country confirmed Saturday. Bruce Feldman of Fox Sports first reported the news.
Nussmeier, who just completed his first season at Florida, reportedly interviewed with Southern Miss this week.
UF defensive coordinator Geoff Collins was also a head coaching candidate (Central Florida) this offseason.
