GAINESVILLE, Fla. — Two of the nation’s top prospects at their positions visit Florida on Monday.
Four-star teammates A.J. Davis and James Robinson of Lakeland (Fla.) will attend UF’s spring practice and tour the campus.
Robinson is ranked the No. 7 wide receiver nationally, while Davis ranks as the No. 8 running back. Both visited Gainesville last year for Friday Night Lights and the Florida State game.
Robinson told SEC Country last month the hire of new defensive backs coach Torrian Gray, who recruits the Lakeland area, put the Gators back in the race. Davis is one of several elite running backs on Florida’s recruiting board for 2017.
UF will also host a pair of in-state underclassmen Monday: 2018 running back Lorenzo Lingard (Orange City) and 2019 athlete Trey Sanders (Port St. Joe). Both already hold early offers from Florida, FSU and Georgia, among others.
