GAINESVILLE, Fla. — As expected, Florida quarterback Luke Del Rio would have played against LSU.
UF coach Jim McElwain said Del Rio is ready for the Missouri game Saturday. He has missed the last two games with a sprained left knee.
“Luke, we were prepared to play him (last) week. We’ll play him again obviously moving forward as we go,” McElwain said.
“We’re excited about that. I know Luke’s excited and been itching to go. Obviously we shut everything down on Thursday, so today will be kind of the first time back.”
McElwain said Del Rio’s knee swelled up a little bit Wednesday, but that was normal. He was set to work with the starters Thursday, but practice ended early when the LSU game got postponed.
“He was ready to take the majority of the first-team reps,” McElwain said.
McElwain added that linebacker Daniel McMillian (shoulder) is questionable and defensive linemen Joey Ivie (thumb) and Jordan Sherit (knee) are out.
