GAINESVILLE, Fla. — Five in-state recruits will be on hand for Florida’s practice Thursday, including a pair of prospects pledged to rival schools.
Newberry High School defensive tackle Cory Durden (Florida State commit) and Miami Central linebacker Waynmon Steed (Miami commit) are checking out the Gators’ first full scrimmage of the spring. Steed’s teammate, wide receiver Carmoni Green, is visiting as well and has a UF offer.
All three will likely hear from Florida quarterback commit Jake Allen, who’s on a two-day trip to Gainesville and doesn’t hesitate to recruit for the Gators.
Dunnellon High School’s Maurice Goolsby, one of the top wide receivers for 2019, is also attending Thursday’s scrimmage.
