Florida makes splashes in early signing period

The first day of the three-day early signing period has come and gone, and Florida football found itself in arguably the best spot it could be in. Not only did all 11 of the Gators’ commitments who were expected to sign do so, but Florida managed to get two extra commitments in 4-star dual threat quarterback Emory Jones and 4-star defensive back Trey Dean.  Those two moves helped the Gators jump to No. 14 in the 247Sports Composite team rankings.

Basketball narrowly edges James Madison

It wasn’t the prettiest of wins, but it was a win nonetheless for Florida basketball. The Gators, unranked for the first time this season after losing four of their past five games, defeated James Madison, 72-63.
