With the early singing period just one day away, Dan Mullen and the Florida Gators’ biggest push is to get a quarterback in the class after Matt Corral de-commited and flipped to Ole Miss. Right now, the coaching staff has zeroed in on 4-star Ohio State commit Emory Jones from Franklin, Ga., who seems to be a serious candidate now after his official visit last weekend. Jones’ mother, Trina Jones, had positive things to say about the trip and spoke highly of Mullen.

After suffering its fourth loss in five games, the Florida men’s basketball team fell out of the AP Top 25 for the first time this season. The Gators start a three-game homestand on Wednesday against James Madison.
Baseball preseason All-Americans
The Florida baseball team is fresh off its first national championship in program history and already has players earning accolades ahead of the 2018 season. Five players were named to Collegiate Baseball’s preseason All-America teams, headlined by first-team pitchers Brady Singer and Michael Byrne. The full list can be found here.
