Florida’s next recruiting steps

The Florida Gators made a strong impression on the first day of the early signing period. Now, the focus shifts to the final six weeks before National Signing Day on Feb. 7. Coach Dan Mullen has some big position needs to shore up on the recruiting front and will work to continue bringing in top-notch talent from the state of Florida.

Basketball prepares for final tune-up

After a strong defensive effort late to defeat James Madison on Wednesday, the Gators men’s basketball team plays Incarnate Word on Friday in its final tune-up game before SEC play begins. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m. ET.

Women’s basketball closes strong in win

The Gators women’s basketball team defeated Saint Joseph’s 71-51 on Thursday to improve to 7-5 on the season. All five of Florida’s starters scored at least 10 points, with graduate transfer Paulina Hersler scoring a team-high 19 points and senior Haley Lorenzen posting her sixth double-double of the year (12 points, 10 rebounds). The Gators close out their nonconference schedule on Wednesday against Delaware State.
