Highlights and video from Florida’s fourth spring practice
GAINESVILLE, Fla. — Florida went through its fourth practice of the spring Thursday, again starting with the “Oklahoma drill” or “Circle of Life” physical showdowns with coach Dan Mullen running from one group to the next to get the guys going.
If there’s any doubt how seriously the players are taking the opening drill, look no further than junior defensive back Chauncey Gardner-Johnson.
After getting knocked down on Tuesday in a clip that made the rounds on Twitter, Gardner-Johnson got the best of running back Lamical Perine this time and playfully called out a reporter afterward to make sure he took notice.

As for the actual practice, or at least the segments open to media, Ole Miss transfer Van Jefferson continues to make a strong impression at wide receiver.
He was the first player co-offensive coordinator and WRs coach Billy Gonzales singled out earlier this week while speaking with reporters, and teammates Kadarius Toney and Freddie Swain chimed in after practice Thursday, noting how they are taking tips from Jefferson’s smooth route running.
Jefferson hauled in a couple long passes from quarterback Kyle Trask, looking like a player primed to make a significant impact in the fall if the NCAA rules in favor of his request for immediate eligibility following his offseason transfer.

Some of the most entertaining work at the beginning of practice was Gonzales working with the wide receivers, reinforcing his mantra that the difference for successful SEC receivers is coming away with contested catches.
He had a team staff whack the receivers with padding after they caught the passes he threw them, among other drills.
Here’s are some highlights from practice, including a lot of the WR work.
