GAINESVILLE Fla. — Florida wide receiver Antonio Callaway has a better chance of playing at Tennessee following Wednesday’s practice.
UF coach Jim McElwain upgraded Callaway’s status on his injured quad. Callaway hurt himself in the Kentucky game and sat out against North Texas last Saturday.
“You know what, he got around pretty good today,” McElwain said. “I’d say take him off the doubtful list and put him questionable to probable as we go. We’ll see kind of how that thing goes, but he’s got to be running 100 percent for us to put him out there. But I know how much it means to him.”
Linebacker Daniel McMillian is “still banged up” and it doesn’t appear he will play Saturday. “Probably very, very questionable, probably doubtful,” McElwain said.
Freshman wide receiver Tyrie Cleveland returns to the lineup after missing the North Texas game with an ailing hamstring.
“Tyrie should be able to go, should be able to go,” McElwain said. “He’s hasn’t practiced a bunch anyway. It’s kind of tough. But, he ran good, did some special teams things for us, which is good.”
