Florida reportedly has its man.
As reported by Dan Wolken of USA Today on Monday, the school is expected to hire Mississippi State athletic director Scott Stricklin to the same position. Jeremy Foley will retire as Florida’s athletic director on Oct. 1.
Early reaction has come in about the expected move. Here’s a sampling of the early takes:
Announcement about to be made that Florida has hired Scott Stricklin. WOW! But I wish him the best. Great AD. Best in the country.

If you had any question on why Scott Stricklin would leave his alma mater, the guy he's replacing is the 3rd highest paid AD in the nation.

scott stricklin can't replace foley, but he can maintain and build on his legacy at florida. he's done good things at mississippi state.
