GAINESVILLE, Fla. — Florida running back Mark Thompson returns to the Gators this week.
The junior college transfer missed the Georgia game after being cited for marijuana early Thursday morning.
UF coach Jim McElwain said Thompson is no longer suspended.
“Mark will be back and ready to go,” McElwain said.
Thompson has 262 rushing yards and 2 touchdowns on 57 carries this season. He was ranked the nation’s No. 1 junior college running back in the last recruiting cycle.
With Thompson’s return, McElwain said the Gators will use a running back by committee against Arkansas with Jordan Scarlett and Lamical Perine.
Florida’s fourth back, Jordan Cronkrite, is not with the team at this time and missed the last two weeks of practice.
