Shortly before kickoff, Florida announced that wide receiver Demarcus Robinson was suspended. The reason for his suspension was not given, but Florida’s Twitter account tweeted out that he “made a choice.”
After the 27-2 loss to Florida State, Florida coach Jim McElwain made a statement that would suggest Robinson’s time with the team may be nearing an end.

After making that remark, McElwain said it will be up to Robinson’s teammates on whether or not he can return to the team.
Saturday’s suspension marked the fourth time in his Gators career that Robinson had to sit out. He was suspended for the Tennessee game in 2013 for a violation of team rules. In the same season, he missed the final two games due to another violation of team rules. At the start of the 2014 season, he was suspended for the Idaho game for a university sanction.
Robinson has 47 receptions, 505 yards and two touchdowns this season.
