GAINESVILLE, Fla. — Two new names emerged Tuesday in Florida’s search for its next athletics director.
Gridiron Now reported Kansas State’s John Currie was at UF on Tuesday, and an SEC Country source reported spotting him on campus.
SEC Country later confirmed that Currie was in Dallas, which he tweeted.
Great presentation this AM from @CanesAllAccess here in Dallas at D1 AD meetings.

Reports then surfaced that Mississippi State’s Scott Stricklin is a lead candidate for the Gators’ opening. Stricklin was also in Dallas at the D-I AD meetings.
Florida athletics director Jeremy Foley is scheduled to retire on Oct. 1.
