GAINESVILLE, Fla. — A few hours after landing 4-star tight end Kyle Pitts, Florida received more positive recruiting news at that position.
Keon Zipperer, a 2019 tight end from Lakeland, Fla., visited Florida on Thursday and competed in Sensational Sophomore Night. After leaving camp, he told SEC Country the Gators are his leader.
“Florida stands out No. 1,” Zipperer said. “The coaches mean a lot to me. I’ve been liking the Gators since I was little. That’s my dream school.”
The 6-foot-3, 232-pound prospect said Clemson is in second place and he wants to make his commitment as a high school senior.
This fall, Zipperer plans to attend games at Auburn, Florida and North Carolina. He also holds offers from Florida State, Georgia, LSU, Michigan and Ohio State.
247Sports ranks Zipperer as the nation’s No. 7 tight end and No. 71 overall recruit in the Class of 2019.
