Something tells us that former Denver Broncos wide receiver David Anderson and former Florida quarterback Tim Tebow won’t be sitting down for dinner together any time soon.
Tebow’s former NFL teammate said he was the worst quarterback he played with in the NFL in the midst of an anti-Tebow rant during an interview on FOX Sports Radio on Tuesday.
Anderson, who played six seasons in the NFL for three different teams, spent a portion of 2011 with the Denver Broncos.
Anderson attacked the narrative that the former Heisman Trophy winner hasn’t been given an adequate chance to be a successful NFL quarterback, and was also critical of his on-field approach.
“His mechanics really throw you off as a receiver because you’re not really sure when the ball is coming,” Anderson said, per a transcription from Sports Illustrated.
“If you’re playing in the middle of the field, you need to know when the ball’s coming and you need to know quickly because there’s a lot of traffic in there,” Anderson said. “He’d look like he was staring you down, which can’t happen, and then he’d throw the ball late, which can’t happen.”
