Photos always seem to play a large role on NFL draft day. Sometimes it’s the flashy suit a player is wearing, other times it’s a player reacting as they get picked or passed over or Brett Favre wearing blue jean shorts on a bed.
Sometimes they even cause trouble like Laramy Tunsil in a gask mask.
Luckily for former Florida linebacker Alex Anzalone, that memory was good. His mother gave him an incredible gift which he took a photo with.

“I am going to play in the NFL”
Anzalone was picked in the third round (76th overall) in the 2017 NFL draft by the New Orleans Saints. Last season, he made his promise to himself a reality. Anzalone started four games and made 11 total tackles last season.
While there is no telling how much success he’ll have in 2018, he has to be at some level of peace knowing he made his own dream come true. It just goes to show what level of drive and determination it takes to walk accross the stage at the NFL draft, regardless of whether someone is picked sixth or 76th.
