Scott Stricklin started his new job as Florida athletic director on Tuesday. When he got to his new office, he had a cool Gators-themed gift waiting for him.
Stricklin, the former AD at Mississippi State, has been attending Florida sporting events over the past week, including Saturday’s game against Georgia in Jacksonville. Now, for the next game he attends, he has something to really get the crowd into it.
Waiting on his desk for him on Tuesday morning was this Gators cowbell:

That’s not all Stricklin has been up to on Twitter. Later in his first day, he released a letter to Florida fans.
On Sunday, he showed the latest sporting event he attended, a Florida volleyball match:

Now, it’s time for Stricklin to actually go to work now that he has officially replaced Jeremy Foley.
Stricklin’s first football game as AD officially will be this Saturday when the Gators, who are 6-1 and atop the SEC East Division, travel to Arkansas.
