On the final weekend for official visits of the 2017 recruiting class the Florida Gators are pulling out the big guns, and that includes former head coach Steve Spurrier.
Oklahoma wide receiver commit Charleston Rambo, a 4-star commit from Cedar Hill, Texas., posted a picture with Spurrier on his official visit. Rambo captioned the picture simply with the word, “Legend!”

What’s intersting about the picture is that Rambo is committed to a former Spurrier assistant in Oklahoma head coach Bob Stoops. Stoops was the defensive coordinator at Florida from 1996-98. He left to take over the head coaching job at Oklahoma in 1999.
The Sooners recently lost a commit to an SEC school in the form of Jacob Phillips, who flipped his commitment to LSU on Thursday. Florida needs do well this weekend, as the Gators have the No. 31 class in the 2017 recruiting cycle.
Florida has a number of big-time official visitors this weekend. Make sure to follow SEC Country’s Zach Abolverdi for all the updates on Florida recruiting from this weekend through Signing Day.
