Florida quarterback Luke Del Rio will make his first start as a Florida Gator on Saturday evening, and his father will be there to take it all in.
That’s not a given for future games, as his father, Jack, is the head coach of the Oakland Raiders. The elder Del Rio will understandably be pretty tied up on the weekends once the Raiders start their season next Sunday.
During the Gator Walk prior to Saturday’s game, Nick de la Torre snapped a photo of Luke and Jack sharing what appears to be an emotional embrace just hours prior to the Gators’ season opener against UMass.
