Another Miami Northwestern player has de-committed from Florida.
Nigel Bethel backed off his pledge to the Gators on Monday, announcing the decision on Twitter. The 3-star athlete committed to former Florida defensive coordinator and interim coach Randy Shannon last month. He received an offer from UF in February.
The Gators are now down to 13 pledges with the move by Bethel, who is eighth recruit to leave their 2018 class since Jim McElwain’s departure. However, some of the de-commitments — including Bethel — were expected after the coaching changes.
