GAINESVILLE, Fla. — Florida’s stacked offensive line will have one less body this spring.
Redshirt sophomore guard Travaris Dorsey is transferring from the program, a source close to the player told SEC Country late Sunday night.
The 6-foot-2, 321-pounder played 11 games last season as a reserve after redshirting in 2014. This year Dorsey was expected to compete for more playing time and possibly a starting job, but there’s a lot of competition at both guard spots.
With Dorsey’s departure, the Gators have 13 scholarship linemen for spring and two more arriving this summer. Sophomore guard/tackle Martez Ivey is still recovering from shoulder surgery he had in January.
