James Robinson took an official visit to Ohio State last weekend, and ran into some trouble.
The citation happened at an off-campus apartment on Jan. 21, and Robinson was released later that day, according to Gleitman.
Robinson, a wide receiver prospect out of Lakeland (Fla.) High School, is one of the Gators top remaining targets. He is viewed as the nation’s No. 14 wide receiver and the state of Florida’s No. 21 overall prospect, according to 247Sports’ composite rankings.
He is currently seen as a Gators lean with 85 percent of recruiting analysts pegging him to Florida, according to 247Sports’ Crystal Ball predictions.
The Gators hold just one commitment from a wide receiver in their 2017 class in 4-star Daquon Green.
