A Virginia Tech guard is coming to The Swamp.
Sophomore guard Jalen Hudson will transfer to Florida, according to a report from ESPN’s Jeff Goodman.
Hudson is a former three-star guard and was the No. 5 overall player in Ohio for the Class of 2014, according to the 247Sports’ composite rankings. He attended St. Vincent-St. Mary High School, the alma mater of NBA star LeBron James, in Akron, Ohio.
The 6-foot-5 guard played in 67 games for the Hokies over the past two seasons, averaging 7.7 points, 0.9 assists and 2.7 rebounds. He will have to sit out a season due to NCAA transfer rules.
