TAMPA, Fla. — Richard Gouraige is ready to decide on a school after announcing his finalists this week.
The 4-star offensive tackle reveals his college choice below in an exclusive commitment video with SEC Country. Clemson and Florida are the finalists for the Under Armour All-American.
“It’s a huge relief off my shoulders,” Gouraige said. “I finally get to focus on my school and my team. I just want to play football, go to college and make my family proud.”
Gouraige’s mother is from Haiti and worked three jobs as a single parent to raise him and his younger siblings. He opens up about his upbringing in the video.
“There’s nothing better than seeing my mom smile and happy with my decision,” Gouraige said. “My brother and sister support me, too.”
Gouraige, who holds more than 35 offers, is ranked the No. 10 prospect at his position and No. 106 nationally in the 247Sports composite. The 6-foot-5, 283-pound lineman attends Cambridge Christian School in Tampa, Fla.
“I really appreciate all the coaches who recruited me throughout the process and everyone who helped me get to this point,” Gouraige said. “It was tough trying to narrow down my list to just two teams, but I know what school is home for me.”
