FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — Jarrad Davis was able to play through an ailing ankle injury against Georgia, but not Saturday.
The Florida linebacker exited the Arkansas game in the third quarter after apparently tweaking his sprained ankle. After a long talk with a UF trainer, he did not return to the game.
A preseason pick on the All-SEC first team, Davis hurt his left ankle against Missouri on Oct. 15 and spent the bye week recovering for the Georgia game. He played against the Bulldogs after being a game-time decision and made 7 tackles, including a fourth-down stop to seal a 24-10 win.
Davis made one tackle at Arkansas and leads the Gators this season with 56. He was replaced in the lineup by true freshman David Reese.
