The actual game between Florida and UMass has not been very entertaining, as the Gators have just a 10-7 lead late into the third quarter.
Fortunately for Florida and college football fans, Steve Spurrier was in attendance. And he has been well worth the price of admission.
Before the game, Spurrier performed the Mr. Two-bits routine and did his best Usain Bolt impression.
At halftime, the field was dedicated to Spurrier, and his 1996 National Championship team helped carry him off the field.

Afterward, Spurrier went into the booth to talk about the game itself. Naturally, he had some zingers for Florida.
Steve Spurrier in the SEC Network booth, discussing Florida's offense: "We only got 10 points. Maybe we'll be better here in a minute."

"Maybe this UMass team is a little better than people think." – Steve Spurrier. Could the 'ol ball coach be right?

Andre Ware hands Steve Spurrier a football. "Can you still throw that thing?"

Hopefully, the Gators can pull out a win in honor of Spurrier. Make sure to check back to SEC Country later to see Spurrier’s comments on the night.
