Spurrier, who is currently serving as an ambassador and consultant for the Gators’ athletic department, coached Florida from 1990-2001.
Florida’s cross-division conference schedule includes home games against LSU and Texas A&M.
The Gators are two-time defending SEC East Champions and head into 2017 with ex-Notre Dame quarterback Malik Zaire in the fold. The East representative has not won the SEC Championship Game since Tim Tebow and Florida defeated No. 1 Alabama in 2008.
Florida leads all SEC teams in conference title game appearances with 12. The Gators are tied with the Crimson Tide for most wins with seven.
