Tim Tebow is now playing the waiting game.
On Tuesday, he completed his MLB tryout in front of over 40 MLB scouts. Afterwards, Doug Miller of MLB.com caught up with Tebow and inquired about his tryout.
“I had fun. I think it went pretty well,” said Tebow. “Obviously this form of workout’s a little different than what I’m used to, but just being out there and running the 60 and throwing it around and catching fly balls and hitting some BP, but the most fun for me is trying to hit live pitching.”
Per Miller, scouts from 27 of 30 MLB teams attended Tebow’s tryout. Tebow took batting practice against some MLB and AAA pitchers. He also ran a 60-yard dash that drew rave reviews from scouts.
One scout raved about Tebow’s raw power, giving it a perfect 80 score.

“Since I was 4 or 5 years old, there’s been two things that I’ve loved the most in sports. One was playing quarterback — having 10 other guys look at you and depend on you to win a game. And then hit a baseball. Specifically those two things. And the second-hardest decision that I’ve ever made was giving up baseball to go to the U. of Florida and play football,” Tebow said after the tryout.
Part of Tebow’s workout made it onto the internet, with someone capturing video of him hitting a home run. It was also reported that one of Tebow’s home runs went over 400 feet.
