Former Florida Gators quarterback Tim Tebow finished fifth in a recent poll of America’s favorite NFL quarterbacks, despite not taking an NFL snap since 2012.
In a poll conducted by Public Policy Polling, published just before Super Bowl 50, Tebow drew seven percent of the vote for “favorite NFL quarterback.” That was enough to finish ahead of NFL stars like Russell Wilson, Drew Brees and Ben Roethlisberger.
The same poll also asked which NFL quarterback was the “least favorite,” and Tebow finished second with 10 percent of the vote, behind only Tom Brady, who drew an overwhelming 29 percent.
Tebow, 28, most recently spent the 2015 preseason with the Philadelphia Eagles after he was signed in April, but was released before the beginning of the regular season. His one-year stint with New York Jets in 2012 was the last time he played in a regular season game and he hasn’t started a game at quarterback since his postseason run with the Denver Broncos in January 2012.
He currently works as a college football analyst for SEC Network, but has said that he is still interested in playing in the NFL.
