Florida has represented the SEC East in Atlanta each of the past two seasons under coach Jim McElwain. He promised a third straight trip on Saturday.
The Gators’ head coach was introduced at Florida’s basketball game against Vanderbilt on Saturday, where he was greeted with a roaring ovation.
It was even louder after he delivered his message to the Florida faithful at the university’s newly renovated O’Connell Center.
“When we get back to Atlanta next season, we’re going to kick the door down,” McElwain pronounced.
