WATCH: Florida mascot shields kid from foul ball, hilariously receives CPR after collapsing
Albert is a true hero.
The Florida mascot found itself in a moment to shine Tuesday night during a baseball game. During the Gators’ victory over North Florida, Albert stretched over a kid and made a foul ball bounce away with an assist from a big, padded head.
Afterward, Albert collapsed. The kid performed CPR, and as far as we know, all is well. So amazing.

Albert had a little fun with the situation on Wednesday. The mascot showed up to work for Florida’s softball game against UCF with a small bandage and a sign that read, “I’M GLAD THEY’RE SOFTBALLS.”

Mascots are known to provide smiles and laughter to add to the experience of watching your favorite school’s teams at various sporting events. But this is taking the duty to the next level.
Can Albert receive a raise for this act of bravery? Extra food? More clothing? A bigger head? Something?
Anyway, the kid involved in the scene likely will remember this moment for a long time. Cheers to you, Albert.
