Maybe some tissues before watching this video would be a good idea.
Will Muschamp didn’t have much success as head coach at Florida. He took them to a Sugar Bowl and lost while winning only one other bowl game. It forced then athletic director Jeremy Foley’s hand to fire him near the end of the 2014 season after four years in Gainesville.
Though his new team, the South Carolina Gamecocks, lost to Florida in Muschamp’s first game back in The Swamp, his former players showed afterwords that they still cared about him. Watch below as the line of Gators’ just keeps coming with hugs and daps for their former leader.

It just shows that sports, especially football, can be about more than just the game. It’s about relationships built and in this case maintained over time. For the juniors and seniors on this Florida team, Muschamp likely witnessed some of their high school football games, maybe he even ate dinner in their home on a recruiting visit.
Either way, it’s always good to see the players still care about him, even if he didn’t lead his team to much success on the field outside of a win in the Gator Bowl in 2011. Muschamp’s South Carolina team is still one win short of bowl eligibility after the loss to Florida.
