Attention Florida alumni, of all the homecoming games you’ve had or will have the chance to attend in Gainesville, this season’s version might need to be a top priority.
On Friday, Florida running back Jordan Scarlett, who led the Gators with 179 carries, 889 rushing yards and six touchdowns as a freshman last season, posted a video on Twitter that isn’t the most welcoming of the Tigers. (Warning: There is some profanity)

Of note — Scarlett is from Fort Lauderdale. He and his teammates mock Louisiana in the video that appears to have been taken after the Gators, in all orange, went into Baton Rouge last year and came out with a crucial win.
Of course that game was played with the backdrop of all kinds of drama surrounding where to play it due to bad storms in Florida as well as the delayed decision that finally led to the game being in Death Valley.
This homecoming game, scheduled for Oct. 7, will be the first of two years in a row in which Florida gets to host the annual matchup, as part of the agreement reached for last year’s rescheduled game.
