It wasn’t a “must-win” game for the Gators, but it was still a critical piece of the puzzle to what Florida hopes is going to end up as a second consecutive SEC East championship.
Florida went to Jacksonville and took care of business against Georgia on Saturday, winning 24-10 to improve the Gators’ conference record to 4-1 with games against Arkansas, South Carolina and LSU still to be played.
Gators star wideout Antonio Callaway scored a rushing touchdown, making him the first Florida player to record a touchdown by pass, rush, reception, punt return and kickoff return during his career.
