GAINESVILLE, Fla. — Spring football may be over, but Florida coach Jim McElwain and his assistants will stay busy for the next month and a half.
McElwain started his spring speaking tour last week and it runs through May 26. His latest stop was in Jacksonville, where he talked about his team’s improved practice habits and how a new player could change the play calling on offense.
The recruiting evaluation period also began on April 15. It’s a 45-day period where assistant coaches can evaluate prospects twice at their high school. The UF staff won’t hit the road until later this month, when spring football begins in the state of Florida.
