The Head Ball Coach isn’t roaming the sidelines anymore, but Steve Spurrier still has orange and blue pumping through his veins.
The former national championship coach, now in an ambassador role for Florida, posted a video that should fire up Gators fans for the Week 1 showdown with Michigan.
Despite now having 10 players suspended, including star running back Jordan Scarlett, Spurrier is still hopeful the Gators will find a way to come away with a win.
Spurrier would love nothing more than to see Gators Nation well-represented at AT&T Stadium for the neutral site contest.

“Hey there Gators, Steve Spurrier here. Part of my job as ambassador is to hopefully get the Gators ready to chomp our way into Dallas. Let’s get our orange and blue on. Let’s turn Dallas into Chompville as we get ready to play the Michigan Wolverines. Let’s have a heck of a game and let’s turn it into Chompville. See you there.”
The game is slated for Saturday, Sept. 2 at 3:30 p.m. and will be televised nationally on ABC.
