Will Grier will start at quarterback for Florida despite flu
Despite suffering from an illness this week, Gators quarterback Will Grier will play against Ole Miss.
The redshirt freshman will make his fourth consecutive start Saturday against the Rebels. Grier’s status for the contest was in question after word leaked out Friday that he was battling the flu, which has also affected other Gators players this week.
But after Grier joined the team for Gator Walk before the game, he was a full participant in warmups. Sophomore Treon Harris will be available if Grier exits the contest.
Grier has completed 62.6 percent of his passes for 725 yards, six touchdowns and three interceptions this season.
Will Grier announced as #Gators starting QB on jumbotron.
