Georgia already holds five commitments in the 2027 class and sits at No. 5 nationally in the ON3 Industry Team Rankings.
Four-star cornerback Jerry Outhouse will announce his commitment on March 6th, according to Sam Spiegelman of ON3. Outhouse will decide between Georgia, Texas Tech, Arizona State, Florida, and UCLA.
Georgia and cornerback coach Donte Williams hosted Outhouse this past November for Georgia’s win over Texas. That visit seemed to give the Dawgs real momentum. The Dawgs followed up with an in-home visit in late January, as coach Williams met with Outhouse again. Georgia is also currently scheduled to get Outhouse back on campus for an official visit in June.
However, Texas Tech seems to be the team with the most traction. The ON3 Recruiting Prediction Machine gives the Red Raiders a strong edge. Outhouse has already taken three trips to Lubbock, and Texas Tech has made it a priority to keep Outhouse in their home state.
It will not be easy to pull Outhouse out of the lone star state. Texas Tech has positioned itself well for most of this recruitment. Still, with official visits scheduled, things can change quickly and I still believe the Dawgs have a shot here.
