I predict Georgia will lose just one game on its 2026 schedule

The Georgia Bulldogs’ 2026 schedule was released Thursday night, laying out one of the program’s most demanding slates in recent seasons. With roster movement still ahead, these projections represent an early assessment rather than a final forecast. NFL Draft declarations are still pending, the transfer portal will not reopen until January, and spring development can always reshape depth charts.

Still, based on the information available today, here is how I currently project each matchup on Georgia’s path through the 2026 campaign.

9/5 vs. Tennessee State – Win

Georgia should handle Tennessee State comfortably, as the Bulldogs have far more talent and depth. Expect a lot of younger players to get ample playing time while the starters stay fresh for tougher opponents.

9/12 vs. Western Kentucky – Win

Western Kentucky presents a manageable challenge for Georgia’s offense and defense. The Bulldogs’ depth should dominate in both phases of the game. Much like the Tennessee State game, expect plenty of younger players to get reps toward the end of this one.

9/19 @ Arkansas – Win

Georgia travels to Arkansas and gets a chance to see Ryan Silverfield after his remarks towards the Dawgs’ culture.

“Generally, on a Sunday afternoon when we meet with the team, we do two things. We always start off with not our standard, always start out with a negative. And the not our standard is ‘Georgia wide receiver arrested for driving 900 miles per hour over the speed limit.’ That’s a weekly occurrence. So, that’s one we’ll show”.

Guarantee Kirby Smart has this one circled on the calendar already.

9/26 vs. Oklahoma – Win

Oklahoma is a marquee matchup, but Georgia’s efficiency on both sides of the ball should give them the edge. Execution in critical moments will be key.

10/3 vs. Vanderbilt – Win

After 2026 QB recruit Jared Curtis flipped late to the Commadores, expect Kirby Smart to also have this one circled on the calendar.

When it comes to picking other schools over Georgia, Smart had this to say,”You don’t run from hard in life, you run from hard in life, you’ll find more hard.”

Expect Vanderbilt to find a lot of “hard” when the Bulldogs welcome them into Sanford Stadium.

10/10 @ Alabama – Loss

After beating Alabama 28-7 in the SEC Championship Game, this game doesn’t feel as daunting as it once did. That said, this will be in Tuscaloosa, somewhere Georgia hasn’t won since 2007.

10/17 vs. Auburn – Win

Auburn has hired Alex Golesh to be its next head coach. Auburn could have a completely different-looking roster next year compared to the one Georgia faced this season. However, it’s still Golesh’ first season with the Tigers, so I expect Smart to put belt to ass in this one.

10/31 vs. Florida (in Atlanta) – Win

This will be the first meeting between Georgia and Florida in Atlanta. It will also be the first Cocktail Party for new Gator head coach Jon Sumrall. Expect Smart and his game to give Sumrall a rude welcome to this rivalry. One thing Sumrall has done right so far is bring on former Georgia Tech OC Buster Faulkner. He’s given Smart’s defense fits.

11/7 @ Ole Miss – Win

Pete Golding became the new head coach at Ole Miss after the messy exit by Lane Kiffin. This marks the fourth new head coach that Smart will face in conference play in 2026. I project that just like the others, Smart will outcoach Golding in this game and get the victory.

11/14 vs. Missouri – Win

Missouri poses a manageable SEC challenge, with Georgia favored across the board. This is a game to solidify offensive and defensive rhythm.

11/21 @ South Carolina – Win

South Carolina will test Georgia on the road, but the Bulldogs’ talent and depth give them the upper hand. Expect dominant plays on both sides of the ball.

11/28 vs. Georgia Tech – Win

Georgia Tech should be manageable, especially with their OC moving on to Florida. Georgia has superior talent and game planning. Expect the Bulldogs to finish the season strong.

Overall 11-1

All told, Georgia enters the 2026 season positioned to dominate most of its slate. With depth across both sides of the ball, an efficient offense led by Gunner Stockton, and Kirby Smart’s proven ability to adjust to any opponent, the Bulldogs should handle every challenge outside of the road trip to Alabama. If the team executes as expected, Georgia should finish 11-1, claim another SEC title, and remain a serious College Football Playoff contender. This schedule sets the stage for both testing the Bulldogs’ resilience and showcasing just how well-constructed Smart’s program has become.
