Georgia Trending for In-State Four-Star Linebacker

Kirby Smart and Georgia have already had a nice start to their 2027 recruiting class. The Bulldogs currently sit No. 5 nationally in the ON3 Industry Team Rankings and will look to continue their momentum as we soon head into March.

On Monday, ON3’s Steve Wiltfong logged an expert prediction for Georgia to land four-star linebacker Joakim Gouda. The Bulldogs hosted Gouda on January 17th, and that visit seemingly cemented the Dawgs at the top of his list.

Gouda, a 6’2″ standout from South Paulding High School in Georgia has made it clear he wants to play in the SEC. That much so that he has already cut his list to five which include Georgia, Florida, Auburn, Texas, and Alabama.

Georgia will get the first crack at Gouda during official visit season. Gouda has already locked in a return trip to Athens for the weekend of May 29th. There has not been a commitment date set.

In the 2027 class, Gouda ranks as the No. 218 overall prospect and the No. 17 linebacker nationally. If Gouda commits, he would become the fourth highest rated commitment in Georgia’s 2027 class.

If the Bulldogs can capitalize on their early momentum, Georgia could be on the verge of adding one of the best linebackers in the state of Georgia. Click here to see some other top prospects Georgia is trending for.
