Georgia and head coach Kirby Smart are set to host several of the nation’s top prospects from the 2027 class on January 31. The bulldogs have already secured five commitments in the 2027 cycle.
Five-star running back Kemon Spell is set to visit Georgia next weekend, he told UGA Football Live. The 5-foot-9 McKeesport (Pa.) standout is ranked as the No. 3 overall prospect and the No. 1 running back in the 2027 class.
Despite missing five games at McKeesport High School, Spell delivered a monster season, piling up 2,233 all-purpose yards and 32 touchdowns. The five-star standout also flashed on defense, tallying eight tackles and two interceptions.
Penn State has gained momentum in Spell’s recruitment this week, including a prediction from On3’s Steve Wiltfong in favor of the Nittany Lions. Spell is scheduled to visit Happy Valley this weekend. Georgia will look to swing the momentum back in their direction on January 31st.
Georgia remains firmly in the mix alongside Penn State, Notre Dame, and Miami for the five-star running back. Spell’s upcoming visit will be his second trip to Athens. He was in town for the Dawgs’ win over Texas in November.
