Four-star offensive tackle Joshua Sam-Epelle announced his Top 10 schools on Monday.
Miami, South Carolina, Nebraska, Tennessee, Ohio State, Alabama, Texas A&M, Ole Miss, Georgia Tech, and Georgia made the cut for the elite 4-star prospect.
The 6-foot-8, 305-pound prospect plays at Douglas County High School in Douglasville, GA. He’s held an offer from the Bulldogs since June 12, 2024.
Sam-Epelle is the No. 48 overall prospect and No. 8 offensive tackle in the class of 2027. He ranks as the No. 2 offensive tackle and No. 6 player in the state of Georgia, according to the Rivals Industry ranking.
Many recruiting experts believe Georgia is trending for the in-state offensive tackle. The Bulldogs are the projected leader in Sam-Epelle’s recruitment, according to the Rivals RPM. He recently visited Athens for the Ole Miss game, where he watched the Bulldogs beat Ole Miss 43-35 in one of the biggest SEC games of the year.
After his visit, he spoke with Rivals about his visit and his growing interest in Georgia.
“The time I spent in Athens today (was great),” he said. “The atmosphere is always amazing and truly a great time. What continues to stand out about the opportunity is the pure fact they play true freshmen, and if you can start as a true freshman at UGA, you’re a draft pick.”
Georgia currently has four commitments in the class of 2027, ranking No. 7 nationally and No. 4 in the SEC. The Bulldogs’ 2027 class is headlined by four-star cornerback Donte Wright and four-star offensive tackle Kelsey Adams.
