Georgia trending for 4-star short-term sign transfer QB

Georgia football and Kirby Smart are looking to reload after an early exit in the College Football Playoff. One way to do that is through the transfer portal. So far, UGA has lost 13 players to the portal. On3 currently ranks Georgia as the No. 62 class in the 2026 transfer portal rankings. 247 Sports ranks Georgia’s class as its No. 29 class.

UGA is trending for quarterback Bryson Beaver, who is a short-term transfer. He signed a letter of intent to enroll at Oregon, then was released from his LOI, and entered the transfer portal. He visited Georgia on Friday.

Beaver is a true freshman from Murrieta, California, who is rated a 4-star recruit. He is ranked as the No. 174 player in the nation, No. 12 QB, and No. 19 recruit in California.

According to MaxPreps, Beaver completed 645 of 1,055 passing attempts for 8,211 yards, 81 touchdowns, and 25 interceptions while at Vista Murrieta High School. His best season was back in 2024 when he completed 229 of 345 passing attempts for 3,214 yards, 33 touchdowns, and just 6 interceptions.

He’s not a dynamic runner, but he can run if he needs to. He ran 157 times for 588 yards (3.7 yards per carry) and 4 touchdowns over his career in high school. In 2024, he ran 58 times for 411 yards (7.1 yards per carry) and 2 touchdowns.

After losing Jared Curtis to a late flip, it would be great to add a quarterback as talented as Beaver to Georgia’s 2026 roster. With Beaver being on campus this weekend, that’s exactly what I’d expect to happen. Especially with On3 reporting that the Dawgs are already trending for his commitment.
