ESPN’s Danny Kanell made a bold statement during halftime of the South Carolina-Clemson game while watching a highlight of UGA’s lone touchdown in the first half of Saturday’s game against Georgia Tech
“Sony Michel, I think he’s better than Nick Chubb too, the way he runs the football,” Kanell said. “But man, it’s been a struggle for Georgia this year.”
It’s true Michel has filled the role of UGA’s starting running back admirably in Chubb’s absence, topping 1,000 yards for the season in Saturday’s game. But Kanell may be pretty far out on a limb with this one.
Chubb injured his knee on the first play from scrimmage in UGA’s game against Tennessee on Oct. 10, forcing him to miss the rest of the season.
